According to Sunsport's source and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle United agreed to spend £ 69 million to get striker Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart. This may be a knot for the Alexander Isak deal to Liverpool.
Accordingly, Romano offered a familiar mantra here when writing: “Nick Woltemade arrives at Newcastle, the agreement has been achieved after the official offer is accepted. The transfer fee is more than 80 million euros (£ 69 million) plus the fees and medical examination in the UK in the next 24 hours and the movement is being arranged now.
When coming to St James' Park, Woltemade will reunite the familiar face, Tino Livrangeento, who once confronted him in the summer in the U21 European final between England and Germany.
Woltemade has only joined Stuttgart from Werder Bremen last season, but had a booming season with 17 goals in all competitions, including an important goal in the German Cup final (DFB-Pokal) to help Stuttgart win the championship.
That dazzling form made him considered “the successor of Harry Kane” at Bayern Munich, although after that the Gray Lobster cooled his attention. According to The Athletic, Bayern once sent three suggestions but was rejected by Stuttgart this summer. In addition to Bayern, Man United also pursued Woltemade but the Reds eventually chose Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
The upcoming appearance of Woltemade can become a catalyst for Alexander Isak to join Liverpool. Sunsport last week revealed that Liverpool's leadership approved the English football record of up to 130 million pounds to recruit Isak, and they were confident that the price would be able to convince Newcastle.
In addition to Woltemade, coach Eddie Howe also pursued Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen's deal, but not yet successful. This player expressed his desire to leave Molineux, but he was kept by the club because he thought it was too late in the transfer.
Even so, Newcastle is still expected to recruit another striker before the transfer window closed on Monday night, especially after breaking up with Callum Wilson at the end of last season.
