A PSG star would like to leave immediately after the defeat at the World Cup Club

According to L'écipe, center -back Lucas Beraldo officially applied for transfer to the PSG Board of Directors, in order to seek more opportunities and prove himself in another environment.

Beraldo applied to leave PSG

Beraldo joined PSG from Sao Paulo 18 months ago for a fee of 20 million euros. The 21 -year -old center -back is said to still feel happy in Paris, and be grateful to the opportunity to develop in a highly competitive environment like PSG.

However, Beraldo understood that he was only considered a backup plan – an alternative when the two main defenders kicked away. He was kicked in the 2025 Club World Cup final by Willian Pocho injured, but had a lot of difficulties when facing Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.

However, his relatively good performance when he replaced Marquinhos in the Champions League quarter -final against Aston Villa earlier helped Beraldo confident that he was able to play at the highest level.

With the 2026 World Cup finals only 1 year left, the Brazilian player is said to be ready to “risk himself” to find new opportunities, thereby hoping to be summoned by coach Carlo Ancelotti to Selecao.

PSG was surprised by Beraldo's transfer request. However, with the orientation to build the squad around the players who truly commit to coach Luis Enrique's project, the French capital team agreed on the principle that he would leave him, with some conditions.

Specifically, PSG only accepted Beraldo to leave the club if they successfully recruit the number one goal for the defense, which is Bournemouth's Illya Zabarnyi. In addition, Beraldo will only be allowed to leave if the club offers a “big enough” price, expected to be over 30 million euros.

Currently, Beraldo still has a contract with PSG until 2028.
