According to De Telegraaf, Ajax is asking Chelsea to pay the transfer fee of 60 million euros (52 million pounds) to Jorrel Hato.
Chelsea is trying to complete the 19 -year -old defender agreement before the Premier League begins. Jorrel Hato is said to have informed Ajax about the desire to leave the club and agreed to personal terms with Chelsea.
However, Chelsea has not reached an agreement with Ajax about the transfer fee to the Dutch player. According to De Telegraaf, Ajax wants the transfer fee from 55 million euros (47.7 million pounds) to £ 60 million (52 million pounds) for their defender.
Chelsea initially made a contract with HATO in January this year, but abandoned his intentions due to fear of violating the Financial Fair Law. Chelsea's opening offer in the negotiation process with Ajax is 40 million euros (34.7 million pounds).
Ajax responded to Chelsea's £ 34 million offer to Jorrel Hato. |
Speaking to De Telegraaf, former Chelsea midfielder and the Dutch team, Boudewijn Zenden affirmed that Hato had enough quality to create immediate impact under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge. He said:
“Hato is a powerful, excellent quality player and even though he is young, he plays very mature. I also think he plays a very smart football. Although the red card he accepts in front of Spain is not a wise decision, he has learned a lot from it.
Ajax has not gained the best form in recent years, but Hato has stood out, and the reward is the selection of the Dutch national team. Therefore, it is understandable that he received a lot of attention.
Can Hato shine in the Premier League? I think it is okay. I also think he will create an immediate impact at Chelsea, but talk to Enzo Maresca, because the coach is the most obvious explanation for him whether he is suitable for the system.
