Alan Shearer believes that Chelsea may sell Nicolas Jackson after the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 final with Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea increased its attack options this summer when spending £ 30 million to sign a contract with Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, the Blues then spent £ 60 million to get Joao Pedro from Brighton.
Delap scored the first goal for Chelsea against ES Tunis in the FIFA Club World Cup group stage, while Pedro created an immediate impact with an impressive double in the semi -final against Fluminense. Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson was left on the bench in a 2-1 victory over Palmeiras, while he made Cole Palmer angry after coming on the replacement in the second half in a 2-0 victory over Fluminense. Accordingly, Jackson did not pass the ball to his teammates to easily cushion the ball to increase the score to 3-0, instead he finished bringing the ball to the vertical column.

Arsenal was contacted to recruit Jackson because Mikel Arteta wanted to add a new striker to the squad before the summer transfer period ended. And Alan Shearer felt Chelsea was ready to sell this striker, who was recruited from Villarreal for £ 32 million two years ago. Shearer shared:
“I would not be surprised if Nicolas Jackson was sold by Chelsea in the summer of 2025. They have some notable options in every position in the attack. Obviously Nicolas Jackson is not meeting expectations, Chelsea's return to Delap and Pedro makes him no longer guaranteed the main stone position. I think Chelsea will sell him if he receives a suitable offer.”
Shearer also believes that Pedro Neto's performance at FIFA Club World Cup also helps him get the main kick next season.
