Striker Alvaro Morata prepared to become a rookie of Como, after the team reached an agreement with AC Milan and Galatasaray about a complex transfer deal.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Como will pay about 5 million euros to Galatasaray as a compensation to terminate the current loan contract.
After the borrowed contract with Galatasaray is canceled, Morata will sign a contract to join the como from AC Milan on a loan form with a mandatory purchase term. The expected purchase fee is about 9–10 million euros, plus 1 million euros for Milan right after the borrowing contract. The total value of the deal is estimated at approximately 15 million euros.
AS source said that Galatasaray will receive 5 million euros immediately, while Milan earns about 1 million euros from loan and 8–9 million euros when the buying clause is activated. This is a special deal because it involves all three clubs and needs to solve many contract issues at the same time.
Morata, 32, is said to only want to join Como despite the attention from some other teams. The main reason is the desire to reunite with coach Cesc Fabregas, who used to be his close teammate at Chelsea. Working with Fabregas and acting as a central role in Como's sports project convinced Morata to reject other options.
As planned, Morata will complete the medical examination procedure and officially launched immediately after the final papers are signed. He is expected to become a key point to help Como compete in Serie A season 2025/26. With seasoned experience from leading European clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid and Milan, Morata brings Como both level and bravery.
Without the last minute, the deal would be announced in the next few days, closing one of the most notable “transfer stories” in the summer of 2025.
