In the previous match, the defending champion Sea V.League-Thailand-easily surpassed Indonesia with the same score 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-21). Not repeating the subjectivity in the first stage, Thailand launched the strongest squad from the beginning, completely overwhelming and controlling the match to the last minute.
