Barca has renewed the young striker Abdul Aziz Issah one season from the Ghana team, Dreams FC, until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Over the past few weeks, Barca has broken up with a number of players in the Barca Atletic squad, some on loan, some in the form of transfer. However, Barca has confirmed that they have reached an agreement to hold the winger Abdul Aziz Issah staying at the club another season, extending the loan contract from Dreams FC until 2026.
“FC Barcelona and Dreams FC have reached an agreement to extend the loan contract of Aziz Issah another season, until June 30, 2026. The Ghana striker will return to Barca Atletic after the first year of adaptation,” the club said.
Aziz was born on November 20, 2005 in Ghana, joined Barca last summer, becoming part of the reserve team to experience European football for the first time.
He could not play in the first few matches due to administrative procedures, but later began to be put into the squad. Issah ended his first season in Barca Atletic shirt with only 2 appearances. At the end of the season, Aziz joined the national team to attend the U20 Africa Cup.
The Ghana winger passed the medical test with the other members of the team on Monday when Barca Atletic started the pre -season period under the guidance of the new coach Juliano Belletti, a former Barca player – who was appointed after experiencing last season to lead the U19 Barca team.
The fact that Aziz Issah moved to Barca was part of the more widely recruited and searched strategy, when he and David Oduro become the second player from the Ghana league to sign a contract with the Catalunya Club. While Aziz joined in loan, left -back Oduro signed a long -term contract for three years and was also playing for the Barca Atletic team.
