William Gallas believes Arsenal should withdraw from the race to win the signature of Viktor Gyokeres and said Victor Osimhen is also not suitable for the Gunners.
Coach Mikel Arteta hopes to add a good striker this summer. Kai Havertz is Arteta's first choice in the last two seasons in the highest position in the attack, but the German player has not exploded.
Arsenal did not sign a contract with any striker in January, and pay the price in the third season in a row in the Premier League. This summer, they are determined to buy more strikers, with Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko are the top 3 goals.
Gyokeres is said to have rejected the offer from MU to move to the Emirates, but Arsenal is having difficulty in unifying the terms with Sporting Lisbon. That makes Sesko the most likely player to dock in North London this summer, but RB Leipzig also offers a very high price for his star.
Both Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen are interested by Arsenal. |
It is impossible to exclude the possibility of Arsenal recruiting Osimhen, but William Gallas is concerned that the Nigerian player, who spent last season on loan in Galatasaray, was not suitable for Arteta. Gallas still wants Arsenal to recruit striker Alexander Isak of Newcastle United, he said:
“Victor Osimhen is a top -class striker, but I'm afraid he will conflict with Mikel Arteta. Viktor Gyokeres will be more suitable, but Arsenal wants to win the Premier League next season, they need to sign a contract with Alexander Isak.
Isak perfect for Arsenal and they should devote all their efforts to sign a contract with him. He will adapt immediately and give them the opportunity to win big titles. Arsenal should spend money to get Isak. He is a striker who scored 20 goals per season and he will be supported by quality players at the Emirates Stadium. ”
