The home page of Brentford confirmed that the club signed a 2 -year contract with midfielder Jordan Henderson, who won the Premier League and the Champions League as the captain of Liverpool.
Henderson joined Brentford on the form of free transfer after leaving Ajax this summer. Before wearing Ajax, Henderson broke up with Liverpool to have a short time wearing Al-winfifiq in Saudi Arabia.
The player who had 84 captured by England has been with Liverpool for 12 years and won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, British League Cup, Community Shield, Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
“I am very happy to be here. I am very eager to start and move forward. I always admire the club and what they have achieved in the past few years, especially the way they have developed. I know the club has been organized and operated very well, very important to my family, what I think is very important.
When I talked to Phil Giles, Lee Dykes and Keith (co -owning the team), I really had a very good feeling about everything. Immediately after that conversation, I was aware that I wanted to come here and finally it was an easy decision.
I will try my best to convey my experience, especially for young players. But at the same time, I still need to show and complete the tasks on the pitch. I will definitely help people around me, but even at my age, you can still learn a lot, you can still improve and you can still become better, that's what I want to do in this club, “Henderson shared when he debuted with a new team.
The head coach of Brentford, Keith Andrews said: “When we knew about Jordan's contract, it was a fairly simple decision. We conducted a thorough appraisal of Jordan's recent matches to see where he was.
With the departure of experienced players – Christian Norgaard, Mark Flekken and Ben Mee – it is important to find their replacement. Overall, we have a pretty young and experienced team for the club, which is really important, with players like Vitaly Janelt, Mathias Jensen, Ethan Pinnock and Josh Dasilva, who are still at the club for rehabilitation.
What Jordan will bring is that he has been one of the most influential leaders in the modern Premier League years. He was at the forefront of winning the title and Champions League at a wonderful football club.
He also has experience at the international level with England and with that is the level of experience, professionalism and dedication to his career – that is exactly the way we want to be a football club. Jordan will promote the standards and be a great addition to Brentford's squad, “Brentford's boat added.
Henderson started his career in Sunderland, where he had his Premier League debut when he was 18 years old. After lending at Coventry in the British First Division in the 2008/09 season, he had 70 more appearances in the top tournament for Black Cats. Later, Henderson moved to Liverpool, where he played 492 matches and scored 33 goals, before replacing Steven Gerrard as captain of The Kop in 2015.
Leaving Liverpool in 2023, Henderson joined the new Al-Bettififaq team with his former teammate-Gerrard, when he was the chief coach of Al-winfifiq in Saudi Arabia, where he had 19 appearances in all competitions. He moved to Ajax, the team playing in the Dutch league in January 2024. Here, the central midfielder played 57 times before leaving the club this summer.
