Recently, many information confirmed that Chelsea had reached an agreement to recruit defender Jorrel Hato from Ajax Amsterdam.
The 19 -year -old will join the Premier League team under a contract worth 43.5 million euros, excluding bonuses. Earlier, Chelsea's initial proposal was rejected by Ajax last week.
Hato is a Dutch national player, can play in both the center -back and left -back. He once debuted in 2023 and was the pillar of Ajax in the last two seasons. Hato's stable performance made him reach the sights of many big clubs in Europe.

Before Chelsea came in, Hato was contacted by Arsenal last summer and earlier this year. However, the Gunners have shifted and recruited center -back Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.
Jorrel Hato joined Ajax from Sparta Rotterdam in 2018 and promoted quickly in the young training system. He debuted the first team Ajax at the age of 16 and quickly became the pillar of the defense last season, one of Ajax's deputy captains and has just been honored as “the best young player Eredivisie season 2024-25”.
