According to the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea reached an agreement to recruit midfielder Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton.
Earlier, Chelsea prioritized signing contracts with Alejandro Garnacho and Xavi Simons, and temporarily postponed the recruitment of a new defender to focus on thorough upgrading for the attack. However, because Simons joined Tottenham with a contract worth 60 million euros from RB Leipzig, forcing Chelsea to adjust. Due to the health of Cole Palmer, Chelsea felt a shortage in the attacking midfielder, so the decision to recruit Buonanotte – the player was also being noticed by Leeds.
