One of the most persistent deals of the 2025 summer transfer window is about to end, when Chelsea is about to complete the Alejandro Garnacho's recruitment agreement from MU.
It is known that Chelsea and MU have agreed on a fee of 46.2 million euros and a 10% term from the sale fee later. The two Premier League clubs were trapped in negotiations for weeks to find a common voice about the transfer value.
Garnacho has reached personal agreement with Chelsea, and is currently present in London to conduct medical examination before being officially published. The Argentinian winger was determined to join the Stamford Bridge team this summer, after a conflict with coach Ruben Amorim in the Europa League final.
Garnacho (20 years old) will compete with Jamie Gittens and Pedro Neto for the departure position on the left wing in the favorite 4-3-3 diagram of coach Enzo Maresca, and this will be an important player dealer for Man United.
Garnacho joined MU from Atletico in 2020 at the age of 16 with a fee of only 465,000 euros. Therefore, his departure to Chelsea will bring huge profits. Moreover, Garnacho is also counted as a homeGrown (HomeGrown), which is especially important in the context of the Premier League's profit and sustainability (PSR) regulations.
Garnacho will leave Old Trafford with a record of 48 times to contribute shoes to the goal after 144 matches, and he will aim to improve the attack performance at Chelsea in the process of continuing his career.
As the illustration graph above shows, Garnacho will become the fourth largest selling in MU history for a fee of 46.2 million euros, surpassing David Beckham on this list. The British legend left Old Trafford to join Real Madrid for 37.5 million euros in 2003.
Meanwhile, the Cristiano Ronaldo deal to Real Madrid for 94 million euros in 2009 so far is still a semi -sold record of MU, and it is almost certainly difficult to be broken in the near future. The remaining two positions in the Top 3 are the Semi -selling Romelu Lukaku (74 million euros) and Angel Di Maria (63 million euros).
In other places in the Top 10 are the semi -Henrikh Mkhitaryan (34 million euros), Scott McTominay (30.5 million), Daniel James (29.1 million), Mason Greenwood (26 million) and Jaap Stam (25.8 million). Looking here, it is easy to recognize one thing, that MU is not good at selling players when the money they earn is relatively modest. Except for Ronaldo, Lukaku and Di Maria, the Red Devils often have difficulty selling stars at high prices.
