Cristiano Ronaldo asked Al Nassr to remove two Premier League to buy Real's 'redundant'

Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have asked Al Nassr Club to give up the plan to recruit two stars playing in the Premier League to pursue a Real Madrid player.

Diaz and Martinelli are on the monitoring list of Al Nassr

After months of speculation about the possibility of leaving Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo recently signed an extension contract with Al Nassr, holding him at the club until 2027. On social networks after the new contract was announced, Ronaldo stated that this was the “new chapter” in his journey with Saudi team Arabia.

Since then, Al Nassr has been contacted with a series of big names on the transfer market, including Luis Diaz (Liverpool) and Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal).

However, according to some sources, Ronaldo has asked the club's leadership to abandon the pursuit of two Premier League stars to turn the target to a star wearing Real Madrid – who is likely to break up with the Royal team this summer.

After Ronaldo renewed the contract, the new coach Jorge Jesus of Al Nassr was said to want to perform a “blockbuster” deal as an affirmation of ambition at the current transfer window. According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri (Sky Sports Switzerland), Ronaldo believes that the big contract should be Rodrygo, Real Madrid's winged striker.

But Ronaldo wants Al Nassr to recruit Rodrygo

Just a few months ago, the idea of Rodrygo left the Bernabeu was also considered unreasonable. But since Xabi Alonso took over the training seat, the future of the Brazilian player has become more uncertain than ever.

At FIFA Club World Cup on the US, Rodrygo is no longer the preferred choice of Alonso, and continuously sitting on the bench in big matches. This made him feel increasingly disappointed, and delayed the extension of the contract with the club.

Rodrygo, 24, is said to be seriously considering the departure, in the context no longer guaranteed the main kick as before. However, if Al Nassr wants Rodrygo's signature, they will have to compete with big men like Arsenal, PSG and Bayern Munich.

Notably, according to Mundo Deportivo (Spain), Al Nassr even sent a proposal worth 85 million euros (£ 73 million) to ask for Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli – a move that shows that the club can ignore Ronaldo's desire. If that happens, the possibility of Arsenal successfully recruited Rodrygo will be increased.
