According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Everton is “conducting an agreement” to borrow Man City's Jack Grealish player this season.
Returning to the club in January 2025, 12 years after the first term ended, David Moyes led Everton to escape from the last three teams of the Premier League. The Toffees ended the season safely in the middle of the rankings, allowing them to freely build a squad for the upcoming campaign.
So far, in the first summer transfer window under the supervision of The Friedkin Group, Everton's new owner, the club signed a contract with 4 new players. Regardless of Carlos Alcaraz, who bought after the loan expiring, Everton recruited striker Therno Barry, midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, goalkeeper Mark Travers and defender Adam Aznou.
Everton had intended to sign a contract with Tyler Dibling from Southampton, but The Toffees was not willing to meet Saints's requirements for their child attack stars. In addition, Everton has sought to recruit Jack Grealish and Fabrizio Romano expert to offer a positive update about this potential transfer.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed that Everton still wanted to bring Jack Grealish to Hill Dickinson: “Everton is still working and conducting an agreement for Jack Grealish in the form of loan from Man City”.
Recruited from Aston Villa for £ 100 million by 2021, Grealish has never shown the same form at Etihad. Especially in the 2024/25 season, the England player had difficulty in both performance and minutes of competition, sparking rumors about his future, which was strengthened by City's contract with Rayan Cherki.
In Everton, when there is no burden of the transfer price, Grealish can find the performance he has shown a stable way with Aston Villa. By recruiting Grealish in the form of loan, Everton theoretically will have more money to spend on other areas of the team.
Whether an agreement is completed or not, it still has to be seen, but Grealish will be a perfect addition to The Toffees.
