Gabriel Magalhaes admitted that Viktor Gyokeres was a great player, when the Sporting Lisbon striker was approaching to move to Arsenal.
The Gunners have identified the Swedish player as their top transfer target in the summer of 2025, and the London team has made great progress in completing the agreement with Sporting Lisbon about recruiting Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swedish player has reached an individual agreement with Arsenal for a long time, but Arsenal has not yet agreed on a fee for Sporting. The two teams are said to be with a sum of 2.5 million pounds at additional fees.

Arsenal is confident to soon complete the recruitment of Gyokeres. Gabriel Magalhaes admitted that Viktor Gyokeres was a great player, he said: “We all know he is a great player, but he is Sporting's player, not Arsenal. Confronting him last year was a challenge. He is great and has a great season. ”
Arsenal had a positive start in the summer transfer period when completing contracts with Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Gyokeres and defender Cristhian Mosquera are expected to be the next two contracts, and Gabriel is satisfied with the quality of the players that Arsenal has brought back. He added:
