Sophia Phuong Anh, a prominent young woman of Pickleball Vietnam, has just reached a big turning point in her career when signing a professional contract with United Pickleball Association (UPA) of the US after completing the training program in the United States.
Sophia (17 years old) excelled in completing the three -month training course in the United States in the UPA Asia Trailblazers, a cooperation initiative between PPA and Major League Pickleball to detect and nurture the leading young talent in Asia.
After the intensive training process at modern centers with the guidance from the top coaches and the professional athletes, she signed an official contract with Upa, opening up professional opportunities in the United States.
Sophia once impressed with the international success series. She won the title of Women's Women's Open and U16 at PPA Tour Australia – Vietnam Open, and won the gold medals for the single and couple at World Pickleball Championship (WPC) in Hong Kong and Bali.
This outstanding achievement not only helped her to be summoned to the training program in the US but also proves the great potential of a future star.
The contract signed with Upa marked an important step in Sophia Phuong Anh's professional journey, when she will officially join the US Pickleball Association – one of the world's leading organizations in developing and organizing professional Pickleball tournaments.
This event not only opens international competition prospects for Sophia but also an important imprint of Pickleball Vietnam on the global sports map.
