The Viktor Gyokeres deal is almost completed with Arsenal, and that means that MU will have to change the direction in the recruitment of a classy center this summer.
As revealed from The Athletic, Arsenal has reached an individual agreement with the Swedish striker and is negotiating positively with the host team Sporting Lisbon on the transfer fee.
Although the price has not been closed, this deal is progressing in a positive direction and almost reached an end. This almost ended all Manchester United hope in bringing Gyokeres to Old Trafford.
Notably, Gyokeres used to have an impressive time to play under the guidance of Ruben Amorim – the new head coach of Chinh … Man United. Last season, the 27 -year -old striker scored 43 goals in all competitions for Sporting and became one of the most terrifying goals in Europe. However, his next stop was North London, not Manchester.
With Gyokeres leaving the list, Man United will now have to find a new striker. And the mentioned list includes Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Hugo Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt) as well as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is currently a free player.
But if the Red Devils want a really contracted contract to change the quality of the team, the name should be given to the first priority is Napoli's Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is not in the plan of coach Antonio Conte in Napoli and is ready to leave this summer. In the 2024/25 season, he wore Galatasaray on loan and impressed with 37 goals in all competitions, contributing greatly to help the club win the domestic double: Turkish league and the National Cup.
Earlier, Osimhen won the Serie A Gold Shoe, often scoring at Ligue 1 in Lille's shirt and is currently in the maturity of his career (26 years old). He has not been verified in the Premier League, but is the striker model that has both speed, strength, and capable of running and finishing comprehensively.
In the context of Man United lacking a class “assassin” to divide the fire with Rasmus Hojlund and rebuild the attack, Osimhen is the name of enough stature and quality to blow new life into the Old Trafford team.
Now when the door with Gyokeres is closed, Osimhen needs to be the number one transfer priority of Man United.
