Lando Norris shared the kiss and a touching hug with his girlfriend, model Margarida Corceiro, after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix race.
The British F1 racer has just defeated the Oscar Piastri teammate to win the fifth in the F1 2025 season. Previously, the relationship between Norris and Corceiro was kept confidential for a long time.
The couple was spotted appearing together in Monaco in 2024, but thought to have broken up in August last year. However, now they have resumed affection and first appeared publicly as a couple at Hungarian GP.
On Saturday, Corceiro entered the technical area with Norris. And after he defeated Piastri in a Sunday race on the Hungaroring race, the two enjoyed a touching moment in the backstage.
Norris's latest victory helped him narrow the gap with Piastri on the total world championship ranking to only 9 points. More importantly, the British racer has won in the last 3 of the last 4 stages, thereby creating a great psychological momentum before the summer vacation of the season.
“I am exhausted,” Norris shared with James Hinchcliffe after the race. “It was really difficult. At first we were not going to run a pit tactic, but after the first round, it was almost the only option to return to the race. At the end, when Oscar caught up, I had to push all the gas.”
“The victory is so valuable. Today is the perfect result,” he added. When asked about a pit stop, Norris admitted: “I don't think it helps me to win, I just think it will take me to the second place.”
“But I know that if there is an open space and being fully pushed, I can do something, and we have done it. These types of cases are always gamble. It is also necessary not to make mistakes, have to run well, reasonable strategies and today we have all that.”
While Norris was extremely excited, Oscar Piastri regretted dropping the opportunity. Australian riders have the right to choose a tactical first due to the lead, but involved in the competition with Charles Leclerc because they think Norris is not a real threat to the victory position. Finally, that backfire when the British racer successfully performed the strategy of stopping the pit.
“Just right and wrong … At that time, he had nothing to lose, so it was not too surprising,” Piastri shared when evaluating Norris's strategy. “I'm not sure whether the Undercut Leclerc is the right decision or not. We will review it later.”
