Liverpool's homepage confirmed that the current Premier League champion team officially recruited defender Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.

The Hungarian left -back has undergone a medical examination and agreed to sign a long -term contract with the Premier League champion at the AXA Training Center. Kerkez became the latest addition of The Kop this summer and quickly arrived right after the announcement of the joining of Florian Wirtz last week.

In the first exclusive interview with Liverpool's homepage, Kerkez said: “I'm really happy”.

“This is really an honor for me, a privilege when playing for one of the largest clubs in the world, the largest club in the UK. I am really happy and excited.

After signing the contract, I will go home and enjoy a few days at home. I really look forward to returning, wearing a set of clothes and starting to practice and preparing for the season, “the Hungarian player added.

Kerkez became the next rookie of Liverpool

Kerkez moved to Anfield after two impressive seasons in England with Bournemouth, where he played 74 times, scored 2 goals and had 8 assists. The career of the 21 -year -old at a professional level started with the Hungarian Club, ETO FC Gyor before he moved to AC Milan in 2021.

Later, he joined AZ Alkmaar in the middle of the 2021/22 season and played 57 times during a year and a half in the Netherlands.

Kerkez had 23 caps of the Hungarian team after its debut in the UEFA Nations League match against Germany in September 2022.

He was nominated for the title of PFA's best young player in 2024/25 and was the last candidate for the Golden Boy Award 2023, the award for the best talent under 21 years old playing in Europe.

Kerkez added: “I just want to thank everyone for giving me great feelings for me, even before the information is published. And continue to support the team as you often do, because you are the largest fan base in the world.”

“I will devote myself to win titles with the club and hope to score some goals at Anfield. I am looking forward to hearing the cheers. I will see you soon,” the 21 -year -old added.

The official number of this defender in Liverpool will be confirmed by the end of this summer.
