MU determines the number 1 goal in the winter transfer period

MU has quickly set up the top goal for the winter transfer period after not keeping a deal in the last day of the summer market.

MU wants to recruit Gallagher in the summer of 2025 but cannot wait until January 2026

After nearly 3 months full of rumors and dramatic deals, the summer transfer market has officially closed on Monday night, with a series of big names finding a new stop.

In the Premier League, the clubs operate exciting until the last minute. Liverpool got a dream signature called Alexander Isak, Arsenal welcomed midfielder Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen, Man City recruited goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, while Man United brought back Senne Lambens from Royal Antwerp.

However, the Red Devils also target another goal but could not complete before the closing time. According to the journalist Chris Wheeler of Daily Mail, Man United will consider Conor Gallagher, the midfielder who currently wears Atletico Madrid, is the number one priority in January.

Gallagher used to wear Chelsea

The report said that Man United asked about the ability to borrow Gallagher, former Chelsea and Crystal Palace, but Atletico only accepted to sell. After recruiting Matheus Cuha, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, Diego Leon and Lampens, Man United were forced to put aside the deal in the summer but still remain interested.

The midfielder is said to be the additional priority of Man United in January or the summer of the following year, which means they will most likely return to the negotiating table for the Gallagher if the situation is favorable.

With 136 appearances in the Premier League, it was not surprising that the British player caught the sights of Man United. Gallagher also participated in all 3 matches of La Liga this season for Atletico Madrid.

However, Man United will not be alone in the race, when Everton and his former team Crystal Palace also consider recruiting 25 -year -old midfielder last summer.
