Aston Villa's goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez is also interested in MU, but they prioritize signing contracts with Lampens. Belgian goalkeeper shared with the official website MU: “I am extremely proud to join MU, this is really a dream to come true.
Over the past few years is a great journey, I have had a memorable time at Royal Antwerp but now it may be the beginning of something special. You can feel the positive atmosphere being created here, and I know that I can create a real impact at the club in the coming years.
I am looking forward to getting acquainted with my teammates and starting to work with Ruben and the coaching staff. This is an ideal place for me to continue developing, and achieving my goals. ”
MU's football director, Jason Wilcox, added: “Senne is an excellent young goalkeeper with great potential. We were very happy when he decided to join MU after receiving significant attention from some clubs. ”
Lampens may sit on the MU in the first weeks, but if Onana and Bayindir continued to disappoint, he could be given the opportunity. Lampens had 63 appearances for the first team of Antwerp, but there was no chance to launch Belgium, where he sat on the bench for Thibaut Courtois.
