Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi-the familiar and promising face of Bi-A Carom Vietnam-is impressing at the Woori Financial Capital Lpba Championship 2025, one of the biggest events of the PBA/LPBA system held in Korea.
With a total prize value of up to 100 million won (nearly 1.75 billion), of which the champion will receive 40 million won (about 700 million VND), the tournament gathered many leading female muscles in Asia.
In the round of 1/32, which took place on the evening of June 17, Yen Nhi excellently defeated the veteran Korean player Oh Ji Youn with a score of 3-1, officially listing her name in the round of 1/16.
The match is organized in 5 sets, each set 11 points. Vietnam's hand started perfectly when winning the first two sets (11-5, 11-8). Although the opponent removed a set (9-11), Yen Nhi affirmed his bravery with an overwhelming fourth set with a score of 11-2, thereby ending the match convincingly.
Earlier, in the qualifiers, Yen Nhi overcame a series of strong opponents to gain the right to the main round. In particular, she had a shocking victory over Kim Min A-the LPBA championship-with a fascist score of 19-17, of which Yen Nhi scored 7 points in the decisive body. In addition, she also defeated other hands, Kim Sung Ha (23-7) and Kim Hyo Ju (21-17) in the rounds 256, 128 and 64.
Yen Nhi is currently one of the few Vietnamese players pursuing a professional LPBA competition system in Korea. Despite having to leave the management of the Vietnam Bi-A & Snooker Federation (VBSF), she still decided to join this harsh arena to challenge herself and gain more international competition experience.
Stable form, the ability to handle sharp situations and bravery is increasingly improved, Yen Nhi is showing that she deserves the name “Queen Bi-A Carom” of Vietnam. The participation in the top 16 LPBA Championship this time is not only an important milestone for her but also a pride for Bi-A Vietnam on the international map.
