Jannik Sinner excellently defeated Carlos Alcaraz 3-1 in the Wimbledon 2025 final. After the crown of the prestigious Grand Slam in London, the world's No. 1 player had a notable sharing.
After only 5 weeks of regret against Carlos Alcaraz in the final of Roland Garros, Jannik Sinner had a sweet hatred at Wimbledon. In the final lasting more than 3 hours, the Italian tennis player overcome the opponent with a score of 3-1 (4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4), thereby becoming the first Italian player to crown the men's singles at the Grand Slam on the pitch.
At the awards ceremony, Sinner was moved: “This victory brings a very special emotion, especially after the bitter defeat in Paris. In big tournaments, winning or losing is not the most important thing, but what you learn from that experience. I accepted failure, continued to practice, and today I was holding this trophy. Grateful when I was healthy and had a great team.”
Sinner also did not forget to send gratitude to Alcaraz, the opponent and a close friend in the yard: “Carlos, you played a great tournament. Every time you confront you is a big challenge, but I appreciate the friendship and what we are creating on the pitch. I believe you will also raise this trophy again, you have two already!”
For his part, Alcaraz admitted to disappointment but still did not forget to respect the winner: “Losing in a final is always difficult to accept, but Jannik deserves this title. I am proud of what I did this season, especially after a difficult time. Thanks to the team, family and friends, I found the joy of playing tennis.
