Betis has officially announced the return of Antony through the video posted on social networking channels. The Brazilian winger signed a 5 -year contract, until June 30, 2030.
The Andalusia team will pay about 22 million euros and add 3–4 million euros depending on the achievement of Antony. Man United will also enjoy 50% of the profit value if Antony is sold in the future.
Antony was the number one target of Real Betis since the end of last season. His booming performance at the Benito Villamarin team in the loan phase from February to June 2025, with 9 goals and 5 assists, urged the Manu Fajardo Sports Manager and his colleagues to find a way to retain the Brazilian player.
However, the intention to borrow was rejected by Man United, forcing Betis to enter a more complicated and expensive negotiation.
Last Friday, the two clubs reached the basic agreement, but the amount owed Antony and the representative from Man United, which the British team hoped Betis would pay, causing the deal temporarily delayed.
After a stressful weekend, Sunday morning, the three sides finally removed the problems and completed all transfer procedures.
Later, Antony went to Seville. This player accepted to reduce nearly half of the salary compared to when playing in the UK to return to Betis. He also conducted a medical examination and completed the contract.
Antony will immediately meet under the direction of coach Manuel Pellegrini, with the next match at La Liga at home against Levante after FIFA's international match.
