According to the German Bild, the request for Chelsea's player to sign a contract with Xavi Simons during the summer transfer window was rejected by RB Leipzig.
The Blues paid 40 million euros (£ 34.5 million) plus Christopher Nkunku to get the Dutch player, one of the top goals of coach Enzo Maresca. The German Bild reported that the Bundesliga team rejected Chelsea's offer because Nkunku was no longer suitable for their salary structure.
