Tore Andre Flo believes that his old club, Leeds United, has a great opportunity to rank on Manchester United in the Premier League in the 2025/26 season.
Leeds United won the British First Division Championship last season, thereby returning to the highest tournament of English football. The gap between the two tournaments is quite large, when all three promotions last season, Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton have to relegate after only one season.
But the former Leeds United striker, Tore Andrre Flo, felt that coach Daniel Farke would help this team follow the footsteps of clubs like Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Fulham, 3 teams have played well since promotion in the 2021/22 season.
Tore Andre Flo believes that Leeds United can be ranked on MU next season. |
Flo, who had 24 appearances for Leeds in the 2000s, shared with Metro: “Leeds knows what is needed to relegation, they can relegation. We have seen that in recent years, the relegation is really difficult.
Leeds won the British First Division, they used to play in the Premier League and knew what they needed to do to relegation. I think they can do what Nottingham forest and Fulham did. ”
Leeds signed a contract with a number of new summer transfer players, including Anton Stach from Hoffenheim for £ 17.4 million and Lucas Perri from Lyon for £ 15.6 million. Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha also moved to Leeds before the new season.
While relegation was successful with Leeds, Flo believed that this team could even stand on the MU. When asked if Leeds could be ranked on the Red Devils, the team ended the season in the 15th place last season, Flo added: “That is completely possible.
MU certainly changes, but Leeds has a great chance to end the season in a higher position than them. They will definitely be very determined in 2 matches with MU ”.
