According to The Telegraph, Liverpool is preparing to sign a contract with center -back Marc Guehi of Crystal Palace at the summer market 2025.
The Premier League champion is looking for a new center -back when Jarell Quanusah is about to join Bayer Leverkusen with a £ 30 million contract, while Ibrahima Konate's contract will expire after 12 months.
Arsenal has put Marc Guhi on the shortlist for the summer transfer window if they decide to recruit a new center -back, while his former clubs, Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle United are still interested in this center -back.
Liverpool decided to spend £ 70 million to buy Marc Guhi. |
However, The Telegraph reported that Liverpool is currently in the best position to sign a contract with Guehi after agreeing to sell Quandah. Crystal Palace rejected a £ 70 million offer from Spurs for Guehi in the January transfer, including surcharges, while last summer, Newcastle made four offers – including the highest offer of £ 65 million but the FA Cup champion last season rejected.
However, Palace may now be forced to sell British players because Britain has only 1 year with an eagle. Palace is currently negotiating with Sporting CP to sign a contract with 21 -year -old center -back Ousmane Diomande to replace Guehi.
Meanwhile, Liverpool has completed signing a contract with Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen, they accepted £ 116 million for this deal. Arne Slot's team also agreed to an agreement worth £ 40 million with Bournemouth to sign a contract with the left -back Milos Kerkez.
