MU has a new plan to recruit BaleBa

The story of pursuing Carlos Baleba of MU has not stopped, although the deal seems to have “closed the book” in the summer transfer window 2025.

MU abandoned the recruitment of BaleBa in the summer of 2025

The Red Devils used to desire to bring the Cameroon midfielder to Old Trafford at the request of coach Ruben Amorim, but eventually had to withdraw because the price was too expensive that Brighton made.

The southern sea team shouted at £ 115 million, the same figure as the Moics Caicedo deal to Chelsea before. With a 21 -year -old new player, the fee was considered by observers to be “unbelievable”.

Man United was inherently absorbed from the ineffective blockbuster deals, so the Board of Directors decided to withdraw on August 15, accepting to temporarily put aside the dream of having BaleBa.

However, as revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Man United never gave up. They will continue to monitor BaleBa's development throughout this season, and consider returning to the negotiating table next summer.

This is not surprising because coach Ruben Amorim has long seen BaleBa as an ideal midfielder for his philosophy: rich in physical, strong in dispute and capable of controlling the pace of the match.

But coach Amorim will still watch BaleBa and seek to recruit him at the right time

Missing BaleBa does not cause Man United to be underestimated in this year's transfer window. On the contrary, they have made quite decisive countries to improve the attack. Maheus CuHa docked from Wolves, Bryan Mbeumo was brought back from Brentford, and especially the Benjamin Sesko blockbuster contract from RB Leipzig, the striker expected to become the number one demon's number one striker for the years.

After the 2024/25 disaster season, the addition of forces is considered a vital task. Man United could not repeat mistakes in the recruitment stage, both ineffective and failed on the pitch.

For Amorim, patience with BaleBa is also a testament to the change in the approach: Instead of rushing into all deals with “real fresh money”, he is willing to wait for the appropriate time to get the most suitable person.

Of course, before United's eyes, there are more urgent goals. They had to launch the Premier League with a great battle with Arsenal at Old Trafford. A favorable start will be an important mental push for the whole season, and help Amorim strengthen the reputation in the dressing room.

With Balea, the story is definitely not closed. At the age of 21, he still has a lot of time to prove the value. And at Old Trafford, a midfield position is still waiting, just waiting for the appropriate opportunity to welcome him.
