PSG completed the transfer of midfielder Ilya Zabarnyi from Bournemouth in this summer transfer window with an incredibly high price.
Bournemouth accepted PSG's 67 million euro offer to Zabarnyi. Earlier in mid -July, the Ukrainian player reached an individual agreement with the Champions League champion.
Zabarnyi personally agrees to sign a 5 -year contract with PSG but the salary has not been revealed. PSG urgently recruited and checked Zabarnyi before the European Super Cup match against Tottenham on August 14.
The fact that Milan Skriniar left in the summer of 2025 made PSG quickly promote the search for a new -class center -back and Zabarnyi was considered by coach Luis Enrique as an ideal choice. In the Premier League season 2024/25, Zabarnyi is a pillar in the squad of Bournemouth. At the prince's park, he was expected to compete with Marquinhos, Willian Pocho and Presnel Kimpembe for the center -back in PSG.
Before Zabarnyi, PSG also recruited goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille for a fee of nearly 40 million euros. The French team is having difficulty extending the contract with the number one goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
According to L'Equipe, Chevalier and Zabarnyi will be the last two pieces of PSG this summer. It can be considered, PSG will lock the summer transfer book 2025 at this time. The reason is because Enrique is satisfied with other positions on the midfield and the attack of the team. Currently, PSG will focus on liquidating players who are no longer in the plan.
The list of players that Enrique wants to sell before the closed summer transfer market includes names such as Marco Asensio, Randal Kolo Muorni, Milan Skriniar, Carlos Soler, Nordi Mukiele, Ilyes Housni and Renato Sanches.
